Virtual Parking Permits
Parking Permits are going virtual this fall. Your license plate becomes your permit. See our LPR & Virtual Permits page for details and actions you’ll want to take to prepare.

We want to help make your experience here at USU great. Generally, the best places for visitors to park are the Aggie Terrace, Big Blue Terrace, TSC Visitor lot, or the Gateway Parking Parking Terrace.  There is also metered parking at Old Main and along Logan City streets on campus. There are also day passes that can be purchased if these options do not meet your needs. There is no free parking on campus, please plan accordingly.

Aggie Terrace

Rate: $2.00 an hour with a maximum of $10.00 per day.

The Aggie Terrace is a 24/5 parking structure. The gates will be lifted at 7:30 pm on Fridays and lowered Mondays at 7:30 am An attendant will be at the Visitors Center located at 700 E 600 N from Monday- Thursday 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, Fridays 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Hours may vary. Campus colleges and departments may purchase validations for their campus visitors.

Big Blue Terrace

Rate: $2.00 an hour with a maximum of $10.00 per day.

The Big Blue Terrace is a 24/5 parking structure. The gates will be lifted Friday at 7:30 pm and lowered Monday at 7:30 am. An attendant will be at the Big Blue Terrace located at 850 E 700 N from Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, Fridays 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. Summer hours may vary. Campus colleges and departments may purchase validations for their campus visitors.

Gateway Terrace

Rate: $2.00 an hour with no daily maximum.

The Gateway Terrace is a 24/7 parking structure. Visitors may park in any open, non-reserved stall and make payment at kiosks located on all levels at either south stairwell. The kiosks credit cards only. Please note your stall number for use at the kiosk. Campus colleges and departments may purchase validations for their campus visitors.

TSC Visitor Parking

Rate: $2.00 an hour with $10.00 daily maximum.

The TSC Visitor Lot (previously called Blue Premium) is now a 24/7 visitor parking lot.  Visitors may park in any open, non-reserved stall and make payments using our T2 MobilePay on a mobile device. Enter your vehicle license plate number and make payment and you are are all set. Payment can also be made at one of our pay kiosks inside the lot.

Open Lot Times

Many of the Faculty-Staff parking lots are open to the public in the evenings. A list of Open Lot Times provides details on when visitors may use these lots. Check the signs posted at all lot entrances for changes due to special events or projects.

Aggie Creamery Parking

There are nine designated stalls for Aggie Creamery (Aggie Ice Cream) patrons. No payment is required for patrons while in the store. All other stalls around Aggie Creamery require a permit. A citation may be issued if a vehicle is parked without a permit.

Day Passes

Day passes are available to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the Parking Office. The cost is $7 per day or $30 per week. Lot assignments for day passes are determined by the Parking and Transportation staff based on need and availability.

Loading Permits

Loading permits are available for loading zones, and service areas throughout campus. Loading permits need to be purchased BEFORE parking in these areas for any amount of time. Loading permits are for short term and occasional use. They are available for free for 30 minutes or $5.00 for 2 hours. If these options do not fit your needs please contact the Parking Office.

If you are needing a permit that lets you park there regularly for university business you can request a Private Vehicle permit (for USU employees) or a Commercial Vehicle permit (for vendors doing frequent business of campus).

Commercial Permits

Commercial Permits are available for vendors that often do business on campus. The permit is individualized based on need and lasts from August 15th to August 15th. If you need a commercial permit please contact Cassandra Fisher through email stating your specific parking needs.

Parent Parking Information

Whether you are visiting daily, weekly, or once, there are a few things to keep in mind while on campus:

  • All parking lots on campus require a permit. Short term and infrequent visitor parking should be done in a terrace, at a meter or purchase a temporary permit from the Parking & Transportation Office.
  • All parking lots have hours of enforcement posted at the entrance to the lot.
  • Parents of Student Residents should be aware that resident parking lots are enforced 24/7 without exception. Please plan accordingly when visiting your children. Day passes are available and can be purchased ahead of the time of the visit.
  • Parking at a red curb for any length of time is a valid ticket, even if the car is left running.
  • Parking in a permit required lot without a permit for any length of time is a valid ticket.

Edith Bowen Parent Permits are valid August-May
Child Lab Parent Permit $20.00 per semester * Must be purchased from the Adele & Dale Young Child Development Laboratory Permit allows for drop off and pick up of children to this Laboratory.
Early Childhood Research Center Parent Permits $25.00 per semester *Must be purchased from the Emma Eccles Jones Early Childhood Education and Research Center Permit allows for drop off and pick up of child.
